Employee Spotlight: Charlie Kerwood
Some might think it was the warm weather, others were convinced it was the opportunity to play more golf. But the true reason Charlie decided to spearhead the move into a new office in Naples was to help Waller Financial better serve their growing client base around the southwest gulf coast region and firmly establish the Waller brand in the Naples area. Charlie has been with Waller for 21 years, starting as an intern in 1990 before graduating from The Ohio State University, he has been in the role of president of the company since 2006. Charlie oversees all aspects of the office, including operations, management and client service.
Charlie immediately became involved in the community upon moving to Naples in October, 2009. He is involved with the Rotary Club of Naples, and the Estate Planning Council of Naples. He also serves on the boards of the OSU Alumni Club of Naples, the Greater Naples Area Planned Giving Council, and the FPA of Southwest Florida. His investment in the community reflects his commitment and the high value he holds with clients. Along with his involvement, Charlie has had the opportunity to network with professionals in the area in order to connect clients with other beneficial services.
Charlie is enjoying the move to Naples, and so is Cleo, his Siamese mix cat. Surprisingly, he has not had a lot of time on the golf course because of the client and community interaction. Charlie is excited to continue networking and building relationships in Naples and has met a lot of great people in the area, many who are also Ohio natives.
